If when trying to scan a barcode or nutrition label in MacrosFirst you see a black screen instead of the camera feed, then odds are that your MacrosFirst app has not been granted access to the camera permission on your phone. This is easy to fix in your phone settings.
iPhone
Open the Settings app
Pull down to show the search box and search for "MacrosFirst"
Tap on the MacrosFirst search result and enable the Camera permission.
Android
Open the Settings app
Search for "MacrosFirst"
Tap the MacrosFirst App search result
Tap Permissions
Confirm that the Camera permission is Allow only while using the app.
