Apple Watch App

Log foods, water, and weight hands-free and see your nutrition at a glance, right from your wrist.

With the MacrosFirst Apple Watch app you can log foods, water, and body weight, and check your nutrition — all without picking up your phone. The Apple Watch experience has three parts: Siri voice commands, watch face complications, and the MacrosFirst watch app itself.

Siri Voice Commands

All of MacrosFirst's Siri commands are available on Apple Watch, except those that require a camera. That means you can log completely hands-free — just raise your wrist and say:

  • "Hey Siri, log food in MacrosFirst"

  • "Hey Siri, log water in MacrosFirst"

  • "Hey Siri, log weight in MacrosFirst"

Siri can also report on your nutrition. Ask how much of a nutrient you've eaten or how much remains today — for example, "Hey Siri, protein remaining in MacrosFirst". This works for all 57 nutrients tracked in MacrosFirst.

For the complete list of voice commands, see Siri Shortcuts.

The same Siri voice commands also work on your iPhone!

Add Complications to Your Watch Face

Complications display MacrosFirst data directly on your watch face for at-a-glance reporting. Each complication can be set to report on any of the 57 nutrients tracked in MacrosFirst.

  1. Touch and hold your watch face, then tap Edit

  2. Swipe left until you reach the Complications screen

  3. Tap the complication slot you'd like to use

  4. Scroll to MacrosFirst and select a complication

  5. Press the Digital Crown to save, then tap the watch face to exit

To change the nutrient a complication reports on, edit the complication and pick the nutrient you want displayed. You can add multiple MacrosFirst complications to the same watch face, each reporting on a different nutrient.

The MacrosFirst Watch App

Open the MacrosFirst app on your Apple Watch to see today's calories and macros, plus reporting on your pinned nutrients. To choose your pinned nutrients, see Display Optional Nutrients.

The watch app also includes shortcuts to the Siri voice commands, so you can start logging food, water, or weight with a tap.
